HaanBrands manages a strategic network of ~1,870 controlled positions, including pre-commercial-era holdings from 1991–2006 and a rare concentration of premium and ultra-premium London infrastructure.
More than 800 controlled positions are concentrated across London, where the network resolves from district → street → square across Prime Central London and the broader city. The London infrastructure includes 6 of the only 676 possible two-letter .London combinations.
Our approach mirrors a family office: disciplined acquisition, long-term stewardship, and selective partnerships with counterparties who recognize the enduring value of category-defining infrastructure.
Pre-Commercial Internet Vintage
Controlled positions within the network extend back to the earliest commercial era of the Internet, creating structural scarcity that cannot be recreated through contemporary registration.

HaanBrands operates as a principal-led platform with experience across the United States and United Kingdom.
Led by Douglas Haan, a multi-company founder and financial advisor with over 20 years of experience serving HNW individuals and businesses, the platform reflects a disciplined approach to acquisition, stewardship, and long-term asset positioning.
Recognizing controlled positions as an asset class, Haan began acquiring them in 1998 and today oversees a curated semantic system of approximately 1,870 positions, including pre-commercial-era holdings dating to 1991. He has worked with entrepreneurs, operators and investors to secure category-defining positions across multiple market cycles.
His background spans financial services, fundraising, and business development across both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. He previously worked with UBS and other broker-dealer firms (FINRA CRD #5048516), and holds a BA from Calvin University with graduate studies in management at Aquinas College.
As Principal, he treats controlled positions as long-duration infrastructure assets—acquired selectively, held with discipline and deployed with intent.
